Born and raised in Texas, Verna lived most of her adult life in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. Now she and husband, Bill, call St. Augustine home. Verna and Bill Bacon are not the sort to sit and wonder about what might be - they get out and make things happen. When their sons Paul and Ken grew up, married and had children of their own, Verna and Bill began to think about a new adventure. Bill's love of sailing and fishing and their shared dream of living by the ocean prompted their search for the coastline of northeast Florida.
 When they discovered the historic beauty of St. Augustine, the search was over. Now they live overlooking the salt marsh right across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches in this area. Aside from boating and fishing, Verna and Bill now have the time to indulge their love of good friends, old and new, and all things culinary - tasting the good life in more ways than one!
A true lover of houses, Verna has never been one to settle for the ordinary. She and Bill have built several of their own homes, and in fact, they once tackled the do-it-yourself construction of a cedar home over looking beautiful Lake Lure in North Carolina. It was this lifelong love affair with houses that led Verna into the world of real estate. She was a successful accountant, and later worked in stocks and insurance, but nothing gave her the professional satisfaction she found in real estate.
Verna's business experience and keen appreciation of a person's connection to their home make her a natural in the field of real estate. She studies each transaction carefully, and will not hesitate to give advice when a customer seems uncertain. She is also astute in recognizing the customer who knows exactly what they want - and she is delighted to be the one to help them get it.
